Performance
Even Under the Heaviest ConditionsLarge machines, such as turbines and generators, sometimes need to be handled, as do ships, locomotives and harbour equipment. These are very heavy items whose weights can easily exceed 200 tonnes. However, handling of such cargo is not a problem for Gottwald's
HMK und HSK Harbour Cranes
with lifting capacities up to 200 tones and radii up to 56 metres.
Various working arrangements are possible:
Depending on the crane size, Gottwald Harbour Cranes can work singly or in pairs or even in
groups of three to load and unload very heavy loads.
Gottwald supplies what is currently the world's largest Mobile Harbour Crane. It has a lifting
capacity of over 200 tonnes and can handle the very heaviest loads on its own. Alternatively, two
Gottwald cranes can work in tandem. For example, two
G HMK 8710 E Mobile Harbour Cranes working in tandem in the Port of Carrara can
handle very heavy loads of up to 320 tonnes.
