When You Need Parts
Genuine Gottwald parts and upgrades will maximise the performance of your port handling equipment throughout the entire product lifetime. The range of spare and wear & tear parts for each of our products is typically listed in your machine’s technical documentation.
Our Customer Support makes every effort to ensure that spare and wear & tear parts are available and dispatched to you promptly. Spare parts enquiries and orders are usually processed within 24 hours and no later than two working days after receipt. Our customers appreciate, however, that spare part availability and delivery times may vary depending on their location and the component in question.
We can offer very competitive rates for transportation to your named destination as we have special agreements with a number of global couriers and forwarders who can handle all dimensions and types of consignments. On request, we can keep you up to date with the status of your shipment by providing track-and-trace information.
Of course, if you prefer to take advantage of your own forwarding contracts we will make all necessary arrangements on our side to ensure the timely readiness for dispatch.
Stocking Up
Our inventory management system for spare and wear & tear parts includes a central
warehouse at our site in Germany as well as a number of strategically placed stock locations in a
number of regions world-wide. We also have special Just-in-Time agreements with a growing number of
our key component suppliers to ensure that parts are available and can be shipped to any
destination in the world at short notice.
For a high return on investment, you will need to ensure maximum availability and performance of your equipment. As a consequence, more and more professional customers want to be able to optimise the scheduling of maintenance routines and the changing of wear & tear parts and minimise downtimes in case a spare part has to be installed.
For utmost flexibility and availability we can offer comprehensive advice to our customers on which parts they should keep on stock at their sites and which parts are better stored by us and delivered when the demand arises. We have designed special parts packages under consideration of demand frequency, reordering lead times and capital tie-up. These parts packages can be shipped as consolidated freight, substantially reducing transport costs.
Stocking up on the wrong parts or slow movers is certainly not in your interest and also not in ours. Our mutual objective will be to ensure maximum availability for you while keeping your stock slim and your inventory turnover rate high.
