Düsseldorf, 1 June 2009 –
Gottwald Port Technology (Gottwald) has recently strengthened its global network of sales and
service organisations with a new representation for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
This allows Gottwald to maximize proximity to the customer, to be able to respond quicker and more
efficiently and to take account of changing customer needs.
With effect from 1 June 2009, Clark Equipment Australia Pty Ltd. (Clark Equipment), based in
Sydney, Australia, has been appointed the new Sales and Service Representation. The appointment
coincides with the retirement of Graham Raneberg who has hitherto been Gottwald's representative in
the region. In connection with the handover of responsibilities, Gottwald's CEO, Dr. Robert
Wassmer, thanked Raneberg for his efforts in a market to which Gottwald has already sold a
significant number of Mobile Harbour Cranes.
As the new Sales and Service Representation for Gottwald, Clark Equipment is the first port
of call for Gottwald's customer base in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Clark
Equipment's areas of responsibility include: new crane sales, service contracts, spare parts supply
and coordinating customers' engineering requirements. The company is also equipped to promote and
implement the full range of service products that Gottwald offers.
Klaus Roehrig, Gottwald's Regional Director based in the Gottwald Singapore Office, is
pleased to welcome Clark Equipment on board: "Clark Equipment has been in the material handling
equipment business for many years, thus contributing valuable experience and contacts to our
cooperation. This will serve as a great advantage, enabling Gottwald to considerably strengthen its
position and demonstrate its proximity to customers in the Australian-Pacific region which is very

Clark Equipment, which operates in diversified activities, designs, manufactures, distributes
and services 'The Omega Range' of heavy lift trucks and reachstackers. In addition, the company is
an experienced service agent for heavy equipment which is, for example, used in ports, rail
terminals and heavy industries. The company operates an extensive branch and dealer network to
deliver professional sales and after sales assistance. All Gottwald related activities will be
handled by Andrew Vezos, General Sales Manager of Clark's Heavy Equipment Division, who will
cooperate with experienced managers based in the ports and well-skilled service personnel based in
the Clark branch offices.
