Model_4Model 8 Mobile Harbour Cranes – Professional Solutions for Bulk and Heavy Loads

Model 8 cranes can service vessels up to capesize and are ideally suitable for terminals requiring professional bulk-handling solutions or an expert for heavy loads, or both.

Thanks to the high crane classification, hoisting speeds of up to 140 m/min and the active dust protection system, Model 8 cranes are designed specifically for continuous, high-performance bulk materials handling. With a 63-tonne grab curve, the Model 8 four-rope grab variant produces handling rates of up to 1,800 tph (depending on site conditions), which puts it fair and square in areas of application which, to date, have been reserved for specialised or custom-built cargo handling equipment. With a lifting capacity of up to 200 tonnes, the largest Harbour Crane currently built by Gottwald can hoist even the largest loads alone. Should there be a need for even greater lifting capacity, it is possible to use two Gottwald cranes in a tandem lift.
