Technology provides innovative management and navigation systems that can be integrated with ease
in higher-ranking terminal management systems, to operate entire AGV fleets for automated
quay-to-stack container transport.
The AGV Management System integrated into this central terminal management system issues and controls travel orders. A computer, together with a navigation system, also from Gottwald, plans the routes of the AGVs, guides them past obstacles, constantly checks their positions, checks the direction of travel, speed, load status, even the fuel level in the tank and, if necessary, leads them to an automatic pump, where they can refuel totally automatically.
In addition, the management software is used to link Gottwald AGVs and ASCs in major container terminals, in which container transport, storage and housekeeping need to be automated.
In addition, Gottwald clients have direct access to the CommTrac software of DBIS, a new member of the Gottwald Group of Companies. CommTrac is a Dry Bulk Terminal Management System providing all the functionality to assure efficient and reliable Dry Bulk Terminal Operation.
